Doverhay Farm is situated in the Exmoor National Park on the edge of the historic village of Porlock on the North Somerset coast. The farm, owned by the National Trust, is leased by the Lacey family, who run it as a small holding, raising rare breed pigs, Dexter cows, chickens, ducks and geese as well as the famous Exmoor Horn sheep, all to a strict organic regime.

The house dates from the mid 15th century and is a traditional cross passage farmhouse Evidence exists that the farm in the 17th Century was deeply involved in the smuggling trade and rumours abound of hidden rooms and secret caches.
Doverhay Farm is only a 5 minute walk from the moor, 3 minutes from the village and a 5 minute drive from the sea. The farm is ideally positioned for those wishing to follow the Coleridge Way, the South West Coastal Path, or walk some of the 1200 of kilometres of public paths and bridle ways that crisscross Exmoor.

The farmhouse is set in approximately 1.6 acres of orchards and gardens in which the Lacey's have a traditional Shepherd's Hut for bed and breakfast accommodation. In addition a large barn has been converted into a studio which is available as a family room. There are also 2 stables which can accommodate up to three horses. There is extensive off road parking for both cars, horse boxes and trailers.
From field to plate, the Laceys produce their own pork, traditionally smoked bacon and sausages, from their herd of rare breed pigs, as well as lamb and beef, all of which you can enjoy when taking meals in the farmhouse dining room.
